Midweek Inspiration – Family

I am inspired by my family! They are such a help to me, and I’m grateful that I have DSCN7567them.

This is a picture of me, my mom and my sister. My mom recently moved to our small town. She has been such a help to me. She puts labels on envelopes, buys stamps, and carries packages to the post office. She saves me HOURS every week. But more than that, I know I can call and talk to her anytime. And that is a BIG help.

My sister is a reader, like I am. She has been so encouraging to me since I’ve begun writing. She’s also offered to help at quilt shows and book signings.

Is there someone you’re especially inspired by? Someone you’re grateful God has placed in your life?

I’m inspired by my internet friends, all of whom are Christian, and keep me sane through my mother’s Alzheimers. We are like sisters, we’ve all gone through, or are going through similar things.

As we go through life, we encounter people who bring blessing and joy into our lives. We find folks who are gentle, caring, helpful, uplifting. Sometimes we have them only in our lives for a short time. God sends us the blessing of friends, helpers, associates who care. I have found many through life in this category. My family. My co-workers. My church family. My neighbors.

There’s nothing sweeter on this earth than family. My mother has been gone for many years, but being a stickler for language arts and grammar my love of reading was a natural love. I miss that in my life, but I’m blessed with a wonderful reader husband, 4 wonderful daughters and a 21-year-old grandson and a 21-month-old granddaughter! In our lives reading is a way of life!

My Mother was my inspiration. She has been gone for many years now and I still miss her every day. She was always there for me and we could talk about any and all things. I wish I could see her again to tell her how much she means to me.
